Welcome Paddlers...

It is with great delight that we welcome you back to the Bondi Big Paddle 2011. Last year saw great success and we are excited to make this years event even bigger! The Bondi Big Paddle is a race to celebrate the various paddle crafts that frequent the shores of Bondi. Paddlers from the recreational to the elite level will compete in the four different categories of ocean paddle craft:

Ocean Ski

Paddle Board

Stand-Up-Paddle Board (SUP)

Dash for Cash

The race is the first of its kind, and the perfect arena of iconic Bondi Beach creates a fantastic opportunity to showcase the ability of the paddlers and the function and beauty of the paddle crafts.

The  Big Paddle will take place on Saturday, 26th November 2011 and there will be three races throughout the day:

1. Bondi Big Paddle – 9-12 kilometre ocean paddle. The race will start at Bondi and travel to Coogee, around Wedding Cake Island then return to finish back at Bondi. This race will be open to ocean ski, paddle board and SUPs.

2. The Suplove Bondi Beach Sprint – 2 kilometre paddle. This event is solely for SUPs and will be held within the bay at Bondi.and is brought to you by SUPLOVE.

3. Dash for Cash – 250 metre paddle. We welcome everyone to this event. The main purpose...to have some fun! Stay tuned for the exciting twist that we have in store..

If you are paddler of any ability, from the beginner to the elite level, the Bondi Big Paddle will cater for you. There will be great prizes on the day including cash and a variety of great products. There will also be raffles, a barbecue and a big presentation at Bondi Icebergs after the races. Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Sydney Children's Hospital.
